Live Like Cash Gaudio Foundation Officially Receives 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Status

LYNCHBURG, VA. – The Live Like Cash Gaudio Foundation is proud to announce that it has officially been granted 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status by the IRS. This important milestone not only affirms the Foundation’s mission but also opens the door for expanded giving, sponsorships, and long-term impact for student-athletes in need of tuition assistance.
The Foundation was created to honor the extraordinary life of Cash Gaudio, a kind-hearted, driven, and faith-filled 19-year-old whose life was tragically taken in 2023. In his memory, the Foundation exists to support young people who embody his character—those who demonstrate humility, compassion, strong faith, and a dedication to hard work in both academics and athletics.
“With this designation, every dollar given will directly help deserving student-athletes afford educational opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach,” said Micah Gaudio, Cash’s father and Foundation Chair. “We hope to carry on Cash’s legacy by making sure others can thrive in the way he lived—selflessly and purposefully.”
The Foundation is currently preparing for its first major fundraiser, the “Swing for Cash” Golf Classic on May 20, 2025 at London Downs Golf & Country Club. The event will support the tuition assistance program for student-athletes at Liberty Christian Academy and Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, two communities that shaped Cash’s life.
All contributions are now fully tax-deductible under IRS rules. The Foundation’s EIN is 33-3118843.
